Congrats to Ryan and Dean Yamagata, Desert Dash III Champions! Ryan and Dean kept consistent coming in with a limit each day. Day one bagged 12.51 and day two 14.61. For their efforts Ryan and Dean cashed in $200 for smallest 5 fish limit, day two (Yea that’s right!) and 1st place money of $3387 for a total of $3587

Murph and Mel McBride stormed out of a 10LB limit day one with 15.33 day two, taking runner up. For their effort Murph and Mel were awarded $210 for day two big SM (tie) at 4.34, and 2nd place money of $1774 for a total of $1984

The team of Chris and Justin Landerman got off to a good start day one with 13.60. Coming in with only 3 fish on day two, without knowing what was in the bag, it would appear bleak. Then they reached into their weigh bag and hoisted an awesome 6.52 LM taking the event big bass honor. For their efforts, Chris and Justin were awarded day two big fish money $420, event overall big bass $1120 and 3rd place money $1290 for a total of $2830, great job guys!

Roy Hawk and Jesse Marquez came in day one with a surprising 2 fish limit putting them in 27th place. Going into the abbreviated 4-hour Sunday Championship, Roy and Jesse went to work putting up the largest bag of the event at 18.41 which included a 6.29 LM, just missing the event big bass and catapulting them to 4th place. Hell of a comeback gents! For their efforts they cashed 4th place money of $968

The defending Dash Champs, Mike and Cody Steckel owned day one with both the day one big SM AND day one big bass, putting them in a very familiar 1st place going into the championship. Coming out of the abbreviated second day, Mike and Cody stumbled a bit but held on to 5th place. With the day one domination and 5th overall, Mike and Cody were awarded $1485

Additional payouts:

First out of the money, Marty Lawrence and Asa Stephenson – $250

Day 2 big smallmouth (tie) at 4.34 – Jason Randall and Jason Burchfield – $210

Smallest 5 fish limit, day one, Justin Kerr and Jonathan Schuyler – $200
